NOVEMBER 2004

Our trail riders had a great October for riding  and enjoying the foliage. We had two pleasure rides last month and they both had perfect weather, a good turnout and were enjoyed by all.  On Oct.9 we were at  Mt.
Toby Stables, thank you to Bert Bryant and Gordon DeWolf for running that one, and on Oct.17  the ride was in the Douglas State Forest.  Nancy Russell  and Sally Hill  were the organizers and  marked the trails with the help
of Amanda Hill  and Marty Guild. I was there for the registration.  There was a goody bag for each rider at registration that Nancy had made up, containing  treats for both horse and rider.  Everybody loved them!

These were the last rides of the 2004 season so now  it is on to next year. The AHAM board members will be meeting next month to plan  the 2005 activities and set dates . We would love to hear from any and all members
and friends with ideas or suggestions for the year. Please contact us through our web site, www.massarab.org, or you can email me directly at castlekeepers_plus@hotmail.com

Our annual meeting and awards banquet is being held on January 30, 2005 .  I hope that all you riders have  sent your points in each month so that  you will be eligible for awards.  Also at the banquet we thank and have awards for all who have  volunteered their time to AHAM in so many different ways.

Membership renewal time will be coming up soon and we are always looking to welcome new members. The club is open to all riders  and  any breed of horse and if you would like to ride for points at  our events  there are many different categories.  Membership forms are in the Equine Journal or can be downloaded from our website. Your membership fee includes the added bonus of a year's subscription to the Equine Journal.

Check the web site for the start  of spring activities!
