JUNE 2004

By the time you are reading this, AHAM will have had their first pleasure ride of the season. It took place at Lake Dennison, a lovely place to ride by the way,  and  now we are preparing for two events in June.

June 6 is the date for the Fun Horse Show which will be held at Camp Marshall in Spencer. This is truly a fun show with a great variety of classes for all ages and levels of horse and rider and is open to everyone and any breed of horse. If you haven't received your class list yet you can contact Sandy Crowe at 508-473-2545.

The next event is on Sunday June 13, a pleasure trail ride also at Camp Marshall in Spencer. The trails will be marked and there will be a short or a long loop to choose from. For more information please contact the ride organizer Sally Hill at 508-476-3895 or shill@massarab.org.

Our trail rides are open to all and as well as offering a wonderful day out with your horse we always provide coffee and donuts before a ride and a good lunch
afterwards. Hope to see lots of you there.

On the weekend of July 31 and August 1 we are having a 2 day trail ride at
Felton Field in Barre with overnight camping on the Friday and Saturday nights if you like. That is always fun and Barre is another good place to ride. If you prefer, you can just come for one day or the other, or go home on Saturday night and come back in the morning. Contact Gordon DeWolf for more information, 508-867-7437 or gdewolf@massarab.org.

As you can see, lots is going on, but I encourage you to keep checking our website at www.massarab.org for up to the minute information and any necessary scheduling changes.

Membership in AHAM is open to everyone and any breed of horse and we always are welcoming new members. Members can ride for points and awards in many different categories including volunteering help at the shows and trail rides. Check the website for membership information or turn to the affiliations coupons section of this issue for a membership form.
