The best time of the year for trail riding is fast approaching
and AHAM is sponsoring one pleasure ride in September and two in October.
September 11 the ride will be at Willowbrook Farm in Groton, October 8 we will
be out at Mt Toby Stables in Leverett and October 16 will be in the Douglas
State
Forest. The October 16 ride in Douglas is a benefit ride for St Jude's Research
Hospital, $5 of every application will be donated (Rider's may also make
separate donations if they would like).Hope to see lots of you there. For more

September 11 is also the date of the Fall Fun Show at Camp Marshall. Call Sandy
Crowe at 508-473-2545 for information on this. Looking ahead to November 6,
we are lucky enough to have farrier Jack Millman coming to Gordon's farm in W.
Brookfield for a hoof care and shoeing clinic. This will be held in an indoor
arena and horses will be available for demonstration purposes. Jack is an
experienced farrier and lecturer, specializing in proper trimming procedures to
correct hoof distortion, laminitis, founder and sinker syndrome, egg bar and
heartbar support procedures, whiteline disease and most therapeutic procedures..
More information will be coming next month regarding times, costs, etc. Hope
that many members and friends will be able to come.
